As the safety and security of all residents takes precedent over the needs of any individual, the Supervisor on duty has the authority to deny visitation by any person, based on good cause. A suspicion of a visitor being under the influence of alcohol or drugs, refusal to cooperate with search or other visitation procedures, or concern about the legitimacy of identification all constitute “good cause”. Such action will be explained fully to the visiting person, and all actions documented fully in the logbook.

All residents receive one initial phone call to a parent or legal guardian during the intake process. Following this, weekly phone calls are a privilege earned through our Behavior Management System. The program allows for residents to earn points with good behavior and advance to the next level; each level has a set of privileges. Disciplinary actions for inappropriate behavior could result in the loss of points and in turn the loss of certain privileges. These points may be earned back.
Calls may only be to a parent or legal guardian. Residents are allowed to make personal calls on Saturdays, any calls outside of the designated day will require approval.
Resident relationships with attorneys, clergy, probation officers, social workers, clinicians and others are important to our youth. Those having a legitimate professional relationship with a resident are encouraged to make regular visits with their clients.
Please let us know in advance if you need to visit with a resident, as well as if it will be a 'contact' or 'no contact' visit. Appointment reservations may be made by phone or email.
